Ready for a fun, different Artist Trading Card (ATC) swap?

Each card needs to be HOUSE-SHAPED but still fit in the 2.5" x 3.5" ATC sleeves or pockets. The house can be horizontal or vertical. Windows and doors are optional. Roofs can be different shapes. There can even be more than one house in a row as long as the roof-line is cut out. You can decorate your house however you choose. Let your imagination run wild and create something you'd love to have.

  • One card/house to one partner.
  • Your card must be 2.5" x 3.5" (6.35 cm x 8.89 cm).
  • All media welcome.
  • Newbies welcome with a reasonably filled profile.
  • If you've never made an ATC before, please join the Newbie Helpers group and read the thread about ATCs.
  • Sign and date the back of your card/house.
  • Send on time.
  • Rate promptly and accurately.
  • Communicate if there are problems.

If this is well-received, I'll repeat it so we can collect a whole neighborhood of little houses.

I monitor my swaps up to the sign-up deadline, and remove problem swappers on the last day or just before assigning partners.

I made a house shaped ATC for a shaped ATC swap a little while ago. It was so much fun to do- am definitely in! I love the idea of creating whole neighborhood of them! :D

I did an ATC shrine and the theme was "Ode to Vlad" and had skeleton parts and a skull inpaled on a stick. Very fun!

If you do a USA only, I'll do it. I just can't justify the postage costs for international swaps.

Karen, I have been thinking about doing this also as a USA only swap. Haven't decided if I will run them on alternate months, or just stagger the dates every month (I don't want to have them running concurrently). I'll post here when I put up a USA only version.

In Canada, our postage is going up to 1.00 for a Canadian stamp on March 1st. At the moment international stamps are 1.95 and US stamps are 1.10. I don't know how much non-Canadian stamps will go up. It would be great to pay as little as US citizens pay for postage. Maybe this will inspire the Canadians to promote more Canada only swaps!

You know what.. I know postage internationally I expensive.. it costs a great deal for me to send from Australia... we ALL must pay if we have an international partner... so please... stop complaining and just be grateful that you live in a country where you can post freely and actually have it arrive.... If you haven't made one before... just study up! They are miniature pieces of ART.... but have fun!

I will delete any further comments about postage costs. You can take these debates to the public forum.

I will post a USA only version of this swap that will be staggered with the international swaps, so people who want to do both can do so, and those who want to stick to one or the other will still be able to get a nice collection.

Thank you @TC for keeping it international. I have already made my house and it is so cute and I cannot wait to make more. It would be fun to have different themes like shops or schools or haunted houses and then build a whole neighborhood. I really hope there will be more swaps like this.
