With this final communiqué, we close the velvet curtain on our Anderson Archives series. For our third and final act, we turn our attention to the family of faded prodigies and eccentric geniuses: The Royal Tenenbaums.

This assignment invites you to dive deep into the idiosyncrasies of the Tenenbaum family—Margot's secretive silence, Richie’s tennis meltdown, Chas's emergency preparedness, Etheline’s elegance, and Royal’s roguish charm. The world they inhabit is color-coordinated, worn around the edges, and filled with old money melancholy.

Swap Requirements

• Create one themed piece of ephemera/art, no smaller than an ATC, in any medium that captures the essence of the film.

• You may interpret a character, a motif (like Margot’s wooden finger, Richie's falcon Mordecai, or those matching tracksuits), or the vintage-y aesthetic of the entire film.

Optional Add-ons (for those feeling extra inspired, again, you can always use the add-ons as prompts):

• A character “case file” from the family archive

• A boarding pass or newspaper clipping from Richie’s travels

• A family portrait, redrawn or collaged

• A Tenenbaum-style monogram or letterhead
