I'm trying to rebuild my rating after a family tragedy in 2019 as I am left out of a lot of fun swaps. Each five earns me 3 points. As of today that means I need 21 more 5 star ratings to be eligible for simple postcard swaps or virtual swaps that require 4.98.
For random drawing/sketching swaps, you do you. I sometimes don't know what I like until I see it. Even if a drawing isn't "my thing" I can still find something in it to appreciate. I enjoy the freedom to just draw something that strikes me as interesting or funny at the time and send it out. Art is freedom to express.
I enjoy gardening and, since retiring, I am looking forward to growing and putting up my own fruit and veggies again. Just in time for everything to go haywire, right?
Books are my comfort. I have an eclectic reading taste. My library loves me because I order books in all the time. Rural folks around here apparently aren't as curious as I am, LOL. I enjoy bookish things, even free bookmarks. I like to include them with my Little Free Library donations.
I had a booth in an antique store for 11 years. I really miss working there and meeting the interesting people who would stop in. Unfortunately, the store has closed due to the owner retiring, so my one bit of income has dried up. I am looking at returning to eBay and giving that a go again.
I have recently been accepted into an art show for Art and Mental Health. It starts in May and is the first show I have been in in over 10 years. I plan to pursue this more. In the meantime, I am using my creativity to make protest signs. I enjoy using innuendo despite often having to explain it.
I don't have a television, so I have no clue what is on television or cable etc.
I am very much into frugal living. I am on a very fixed income. I have taken a vow of poverty and am working on being that person.
I enjoy listening to Milwaukee Brewers games on the radio like my Dad did. Go Brewers!
I am a big fan of Lynda Berry's Composition book style. I have all her books but only for inspiration. My dream would be to take one of her torturous classes!
I LOVE composition books. I love anything composition book-related. I am also a big fan of Sharpies. I've done big art pieces in them for shows in the past. I need a new set but can't choke out the $60 right now.
I keep various glue books in cheap composition notebooks. For example, one is strictly for Catholic religious stuff, from the ridiculous to the sublime. I often add trash I find, like notes, grocery lists, tags etc. I find it cathartic to slap glue books full of stuff, esp. when I am frustrated with the world.
I enjoy a good laugh.
I do like flamingos. They represent balance. I have a vestibular condition that affects my balance.
My favorite color is pink, all shades. There is nothing more sickening than tons of gaudy pink to catch one's eye!
BUT I like every color. I am drawn more to combinations of color. I can "taste" my favorites...not literally but in my mind. Yes, I am one of those weirdos. I do gravitate to browns and I am a huge huge fan of just good old black and white.
I am mainly interested in letter writing, journaling or postcard swaps. My favorites are journal swaps of all kinds, be it a week or month or longer. I also enjoy question a day or listing types.
